Description
A premium update of the groundbreaking gin that Bacardi launched in 1987. The twelve botanicals take you on a world tour: lemon peel and almond from Spain, coriander from Morocco, grains of paradise from West Africa, cubeb pepper and cassia bark (cinnamon) from Indonesia, licorice from China, angelica from Dresden, orris root from Florence, lemongrass from Thailand, black pepper from Vietnam, and the finest juniper berries from Tuscany. The botanicals are suspended in a bag in the still and release their flavor into the water vapor. The name comes from the Star of Bombay, a blue sapphire with a star-shaped sparkle.
TASTE : Peppers emerge first; later, you'll also taste notes of lemongrass, spices, and the sweetness of almonds and cassia. 42% alcohol.
GIN & TONIC
This gin calls for a tonic! You could opt for a Q Tonic to emphasize the peppery heat, but Fentimans offers more harmony. The lemongrass in the tonic and the garnish beautifully enhances the spices in the gin. Use Fentimans Light Tonic to preserve the earthy flavors.
