Description
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs has become the icon of Ruinart. The wine boasts a radiant balance between roundness and softness, resulting in an intense aroma.
Blanc de blancs literally means "white of white." This refers to a white champagne made exclusively from white (green) grapes. In the case of Ruinart blanc de blancs, the grapes are Chardonnay grapes from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims.
Ruinart is the oldest Champagne house, dating back to 1729. It is located in the Champagne capital of Reims. Ruinart is a "Maison Chardonnay"—a Champagne house where the Chardonnay grape plays a prominent role. This contributes to the elegance and delicate acidity of their champagnes. This Blanc de Blancs is entirely concentrated on the Chardonnay, while other Ruinart champagnes are blended with grapes such as Pinot Noir.
This dry, fresh, fruity champagne is excellent as an aperitif. It's smooth and delicate, and you'll truly enjoy it. It also pairs well with light, delicate fish dishes like scallops, crab, lobster, cod, sole, turbot, and sushi.
