Lillet is a subtle blend of carefully selected wines and fruit macerations, made in our cellars in Podensac, south of Bordeaux.
In 1872, brothers Raymond and Paul Lillet, merchants of fine wines, liqueurs, and spirits, founded Maison Lillet in Podensac, a small village south of Bordeaux. They created the first and only aperitif in Bordeaux: Lillet. After World War II, the small family business decided to export the brand and focus on the American market. Lillet then became a darling of New York's trendy bars. Lillet's success grew, and more and more countries discovered it. Connoisseurs and mixologists made it a must-have for cocktail bars.
