What is clove:
Cloves are a spice that originates in the dried form. They are the still-closed flower heads of the clove tree, officially called Syzygium aromaticum. They consist of a stalk, approximately 1 centimeter long, with the flower bud.
Cloves have a very strong, distinct flavor, and you simply have to appreciate them. Their name comes from their shape, which resembles a nail or a wire nail, and the fact that they are a spice. They have been known in Indonesia and China for centuries.
