Hendrick's Gin has been one of the pioneers of the gin revival over the past five years. The watchword: extravagance. The gin comes in an apothecary bottle, the website looks like it was designed by Monty Python's Terry Gilliam, and the marketing department has a knack for stunts. The gin itself is also unusual. Bulgarian rose and Belgian or Dutch cucumber had never before been used as botanicals. But make no mistake, Hendrick's Gin is made strictly according to the rules of the art. Ingredients: Bulgarian rose, cucumber

Taste & aroma : Distinctive. Fresh thanks to the cucumber, less juniper, and plenty of floral notes. The aroma of rose is also clearly recognizable. 41.4% alcohol

Adapted tonic: Fentimans is one of the few tonics that counters the distinctive flavor of Hendrick's. The rose petals are not lost. Combined with a fresh cucumber, they make the perfect garnish.
