Description
Vignobles Bertrand owns 22 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Saint-Emilion appellation. Château Carteau is managed by the Bertrand family. In 1995, Jacques Bertrand took over from his father, along with his wife. Their three children, Anne-Marie, Bruno, and Cathérine, inherited a passion for winemaking and have completed courses in oenology, among other things. They continue the tradition with a modern twist. Château Carteau is located on the southern slopes of Saint-Emilion, at the foot of the Tertre Daugay. The wine, composed of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels.
