Clynelish 12 Years Special Release 2022 Diago is a beautiful bottle. Clynelish is always a welcome addition to the Special Releases. The distillery is secluded in the Scottish Highlands, where, according to legend, the wildcat Flexi Sylvestris lives. Matured in American oak & transferred to both Pedro Ximénez & Olorosso sherry casks, the Clynelish 12 YO The Wildcats Golden Gaze is a beautiful label. It is a spicy whisky combined with a bright, sweet fruitiness. Legend has it that Clynelish was once ravaged by an epic blizzard. The cold of the storm endangered the precious casks as their contents froze in the icy wind. Then a mysterious feline creature appeared. Impervious to the bitter temperatures, it rested its golden eyes on the casks, wrapping them in a cocoon of magical warmth. The salvaged oak barrels transformed with depths of mysterious and glowing spices, forever enhanced by the cold.
