NONA June is the first Belgian non-alcoholic spirit as an alternative to classic gin. Developed by bioengineer Charlotte, founder of the Ghent startup NONA.

After delving into base, middle, and top notes, I began experimenting with distillates and botanicals. This led to intensive collaboration with top Belgian chefs and sommeliers to achieve a perfectly balanced flavor palette, where a dominant citrus flavor is followed by a spicy note. The key is that each botanical undergoes lengthy distillation processes to extract the most authentic and pure flavor components.

NONA – nine in Latin – refers to the nine botanicals from which the non-alcoholic spirit is made. Of course, gin's main ingredient, the juniper berry, couldn't be left out. Hence the name "June," a reference to the juniper berry.

Additional information on storage & shake before use

• Keep refrigerated after opening

• Shake before use, as the plant extracts will float to the top, so shake the bottle well to get the optimal taste.

Serving tip

• 50 mL NONA & Indian tonic water, garnish with basilicum & orange peel
