Description

Fox & Williamson began distilling the Plymouth brand in 1793 in a Dominican monastery. Fox & Williamson quickly became known as Coates & Co., a name that remained unchanged until March 2004. Since 2005, the brand has been owned by the Swedish company V&S Group. Since 2008, the brand has been owned by the French company Pernod Ricard. The first bottle of Plymouth Gin features a monk on the inside of the spine label. In 2006, the bottle changed shape, adopting an Art Deco style with the image of the Mayflower on the front of the label. In 2012, Plymouth Gin changed its look again, going back to basics with a more classic shape featuring a green tint. Plymouth Gin is distilled using a unique combination of no fewer than seven different botanicals and pure grain alcohol. Plymouth Gin won several awards between 1999 and 2006, including at the International Spirits Challenge, the Beverage Testing Institute, the International Wine and Spirits Competition, and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Taste & Aroma : The juniper berry aroma is clearly noticeable, but it's supported by lavender, camphor, lemon, sage, and eucalyptus. The taste is refreshing thanks to the lemon and orange notes. The character of this gin is shaped by a subtle addition of coriander and white pepper.

Ingredients: juniper berries, cardamom, orris root, coriander, lemon peels, orange peels

Adapted tonic: neutral tonic or classic cocktails
