Strange Donkey originates from the history of Vremde, the village donkey resting after a long journey where the church of Vremde was built. Strange, strange, strange... What a strange donkey? Hence, Strange Donkey.
Five friends from Vremde, each with a real profession, including physiotherapist, professor, economist, marketing manager for a multinational, ... decided one drunken night to buy a distillation installation together to start brewing their own gin.
No sooner said than done; they started with batches of 100 bottles and have now grown to batches of 400 to 600 bottles.
Strange Donkey is a citrus gin with spicy notes, 23 botanicals, lots of exotic citrus fruits, no infusion method but a real London dry gin.
Ingredients: Citrus fruits such as sushi, yuzu, buddahand, and finger lime
Taste & aroma: Citrus gin with spicy notes
Garnish: serve with a piece of pomelo, lime zest, cardamom.
Tonic: Perfect with Goldberg Tonic or another neutral tonic such as Fever-Tree Mediterranean
