DIPLOMATICO DISTILLERY COLLECTION NUMBER 1 BATCH KETTLE 700ML

Diplomático No. 1 Batch Kettle, as the name suggests, is distilled using batch kettle distillation. This type of distillation was introduced in 1959 at the Diplomáticos La Miel distillery. This semi-industrial distillation system originated in Canada, where it was used for the production of American whiskey. The rum is aged in American white oak barrels, formerly used for aging bourbon and Scotch, resulting in a wonderfully complex rum with a medium body.

The rum has a very elegant and rich aroma, combining vanilla aromas with sweet, fruity notes of cherry, strawberry, and a hint of banana. The flavor is well-balanced, with a pleasant sweetness followed by ripe tropical fruit. The finish is smooth, sweet, and slightly cool with a rounded aftertaste.

Like the rest of the Distillery Collection, No. 1 should be enjoyed neat at around 20 degrees Celsius.
