Zacapa 23 Years is a super-premium rum made from rums aged between 6 and 23 years. Zacapa is made exclusively from the sweetest first-pressed sugarcane honey—instead of molasses—and is matured in a series of old oak casks previously used for American whiskeys, Oloroso, and Pedro Ximinez sherry. This unique process is called Sistema Solera. The secret of Zacapa lies in the slow aging process that takes place at high altitude: 2,300 meters above sea level, in the cool air of the Guatemalan highlands. This slows the aging process, which creates the final balance between the aromas and flavors developed during the long process. In January 2012, Zacapa was named one of the "World's Top 100 Most Valuable Luxury Brands" by the World Luxury Association. Zacapa's complex sweet fruitiness and chocolate flavors are perfect for drinking neat or on the rocks. It will also make its mark in cocktails.
