Description
Ferdinand's Saar Highproof is a German gin with an explosively high alcohol content, enriched with Riesling grapes. Distilled in small batches in a pot still, the grapes are carefully hand-picked at the Zilliken estate in the Saarburger Rausch region. Ferdinand's Saar gin takes its name from district forester Ferdinand Geltz. Master distiller Andreas Vallendar creates a unique gin with Ferdinand's Saar gin. Over 30 different botanicals are used, resulting in a rich gin with its own unique character. Because the grapes are harvested later (spätlese), the gin develops a slightly sweet flavor, creating a pleasant palate cleanser. Each bottle is labeled with a batch number and wrapped in thin, fine paper and sealed with a stopper like a wine bottle.
