Description
Cockneys' Premium Gin is the oldest gin of Belgian origin. Based on the original recipe from 1838 and supplemented with 15 carefully selected
botanicals, makes it a spicy yet fresh gin today.
In addition to juniper, coriander and angelica, it is mainly cumin, paradise seed, yuzu, grapefruit and bitter orange that give Cockney's Premium Gin its spicy yet smooth flavour that lingers in the mouth.
Cockney's distillery was founded in 1838 by a Londoner who had immigrated to Ghent. After his return to England, the distillery became the property of Jules De Brabandere, and subsequently passed into the hands of the Hoste family for three generations. In 1989, Luc Waterschoot, who had learned the craft while working for the Hostes, took over the business and delivered the old
distillery a new dynamic.
Besides the extensive attention our gin has received so far in both the national and international press, we are also proud of the medals we have already won at internationally renowned competitions.
Our 'Grand Gold Medal' at the Concours Mondial 2016 in Mexico, the world's largest spirits competition, is a highlight so far!
