ORIGIN Ron Don Papa takes its name from the story of Dionisio Magbuelas, one of the heroes of the Philippine Revolution. Among the indigenous people, he is known as Papa Isio: shaman, healer, rebel, seer… The brand was created in 2011 and first launched in 2012.

TASTE AND AROMA: Little is known about the production process. Regular Don Papa is said to contain seven-year-old rum, while the Don Papa 10 Years, launched in 2015, contains blends older than ten years. However, independent tests have revealed high levels of added vanilla and glycerol, making the rum appear much older than it actually is. No vanilla was found in Don Papa 10Y, but an unusually high glycerol content was found.
