Cardhu comes from one of Speyside's oldest distilleries. Helen Cumming, who founded the distillery with her husband in 1811, can rightly be called the first "whisky wife." Cardhu 12-Year-Old has a well-balanced, smooth palate; it begins sweet and fresh and finishes with a lingering sweet smoke and dry finish.
